theSLATE will be closing on April 1st 2013.Three years ago we set out to create a hub to foster the creativity that is so prevalent in Portland. Just as we make cars to help drivers express their individuality and fit their lifestyle, we sought out to create a place where the Portland community could bring their uniquely different visions to life.When the doors of theSLATE opened in 2010 no one could have predicted the truly diverse variety of events that would ultimately be hosted during this three year project. We seek to actively support and collaborate with people who are driven to follow their passions and have been overwhelmed by the number of incredible individuals and groups that we have had the pleasure of working with at theSLATE.As this project draws to a close we would like to thank everyone who has joined us as at theSLATE and let you know we are excited to continue working with you in new and different ways! 2013 is going to be a great year as we celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Scion which continues to be built by passion, not by committee.
